Testimonials

We have been in existence for 5 years and are regarded as the premier youth team in Illinois.
We captured three titles last spring in the ILYLA (Illinois Youth Lacrosse Association) with championships at the 5/6th and 7/8th levels.
Before then we played in a weaker system, called Lacrosse America, and also experimented as a independent team.

What separates True Lacrosse is their commitment and year round service.

They produced a schedule early and accommodated our demands.  Since we were the only Northern Suburb team we often had to travel an hour to play quality opponents. I asked for 2 games for each level to make the trips more rewarding.   They did not hesitate to appease us.   True Lacrosse also came to practices when we requested and our coaches learned from their knowledge. The kids were also thrilled to be associated with college/pro players and loved their enthusiasm.

We played in a couple of tournaments with teams from neighboring states.   The tournaments were organized impeccably, with food stands, merchandise tents, fastest shot contests, and offered a competitive environment for the boys.

After the season, they coordinated traveling teams for some players. With the True Lacrosse staff's connections out east, we had an amazing experience playing in Annapolis.

Most of my players are now in a fall league. This encompasses an hour of high energy drills with a scrimmage with referee in the last hour. All my players are in attendance weekly and their skills are improving rapidly. They adore their coaches and keep coming back!
A traveling team from this group is going on a road trip in November to Maryland to further challenge themselves.
Finally, we will play in a Thanksgiving tournament in a state of the art indoor facility.

I still run my spring program, but with all the True Lacrosse services, my players have an opportunity to take their game to a higher level. I don't insist they do anything during the off-season, but they all are enamored with the game and are willing to participate.  Some of your programs might not be so ambitious, however True Lacrosse has all the pieces in place if you aspire to grow.

For the time being, they will give you a top notch structure for the spring season and you will realize they are a stellar organization.

I believe in True Lacrosse. These guys care and you will see the benefits immediately.

Sincerely,

Kenilworth

As the Lead Coach of the Wheaton (IL) Lacrosse  Program over the past few years, I would ask your support in hearing what we have to say about how youth lacrosse in Illinois is benefitting from working with True Lacrosse. We have a comprehensive program now from 2nd grade to 8th grade and are a feeder for one of the top high school programs in the Chicagoland area.

Our program in Wheaton has grown from 35 boys in 2004 to over 200 boys for just our town of Wheaton.  We caught up quickly in terms of competing with teams that were well established by focusing on the fundamentals of lacrosse and working to improve our coaches annually. I’m sure you are doing the same. A lot of this work to improve was done with True Lacrosse’s help and support. They have helped move us past the first steps in playing lacrosse, with a keen focus on the basics at the same time.

We are sending our first players to the collegiate ranks now and this trend should continue over the next few years. For instance, James Raveret, a senior this year, will head to Hofstra next fall to play D-1 lacrosse and is a product of the Wheaton program. James is our first D-I alumnus, but other Wheaton boys are now playing D-III as well as MCLA Division I and II lacrosse across the nation. We are proud to have placed another 6 high school underclassmen on the top tier travel team from the Chicagoland area, which has successfully competed back East and has alumni going to D-1 and D-III programs across the board.

True Lacrosse was able to help solve our problem of growing and getting better at the same time. Other organizations were not. We lacked cohesive leadership in Chicagoland that was going to take more boys to the top level of lacrosse. Our area lacked good youth officiating, good scheduling and good guidance and training for coaches. We were trying to move from playing Illinois lacrosse to playing lacrosse properly. But we need True Lacrosse’s help to do this.

Our experience with True Lacrosse met and exceeded all of our expectations for the league. We played the proper competition with the right level of instruction, coaching and refereeing. And at the right cost in terms of value added to our program.

As we grow youth lacrosse in Wheaton and Chicagoland, we hope to expand our geographic reach to play more teams of caliber in the Midwest. We would enjoy relationships with your teams accordingly. Again, using True Lacrosse as a vehicle for this would make a lot of sense.

Sincerely,

Wheaton
